ELECTIONS CANDIDATE PICTURE
Blair Brackin
As a current member of the Student Senate, I have been involved in a very important year. In the future, I hope to continue the progress we made. Business senators have taken strides to connect more with their constituents, and I want to pursue even greater involvement in the issues business students care about. I also plan to push for greater use of green technology on campus. Re-elect Blair Brackin for another year of growth.

After serving my first term in Student Senate, I am a firm believer that Student Senate should be a more effective resource for students. As a senator I will act solely on the best interests of my constituents and not on biased opinions. I will work on making Student Government more accessible for my constituents so that their agendas may be communicated between them and the university’s administration.

I support the change for a better campus environment and convenience for the entire student body. More specifically I strive for easier access to student government actions and operations. Further involvement by the student body as in Freshman Council and establishment of upperclassmen executive councils. In reference to convenience I pursue to make the Russel House- Grand Market Place available for the student body 24/7.

The most important issue facing USC students is a lack of communication and cooperation between the various colleges. I would like to encourage more openness and class availability between all schools so that students have a wider range of opportunities and knowledge. Particularly for students in the Business School, the chance to take additional courses in such schools as Journalism (like advertising) and Arts and Sciences would be extremely beneficial.

As a Senatorial Representative for the Moore School of Business, I will be a liason between the student body and the administration that provides our governance. I will work to make the process of advisement more efficient, bring more real-world applications to business classes based in theory alone and help spread information about the Moore School throughout the region and country. I will remain reachable to anyone of my constituents who has an idea for

As Senator in Student Government I hope to bring my experience from Residence Hall Association Senate and Freshman Council along with my strong desire to be a voice for the student body I represent. I plan to support programs that my colleagues desire, such as Cocky's Caravan, and hope to use my position in RHA to bring student government senate and RHA senate closer so that we may work together to best benefit our constituents.

This year, Freshman Council has given me an opportunity into the world of student government. I am now asking to represent the school of business for this coming senate term. My participation in Freshman Council, as well as Resident Hall Senate representing Capstone, has well prepared me for this position. I am interested in continuing to make change so that students will be heard and action will be taken, to the best of my ability.
