EXECUTIVE OFFICERS
Justin
Williams
Student Body President
Justin Williams
was born July 28, 1984 in Orangeburg , SC, and
attended school in Wagener, South Carolina before
coming to USC in the fall of 2002. He started his
campus involvement as a freshman, serving as second
vice president of the Association of
African-American Students and as a member of the
Carolina Productions cinematic arts commission.
Justin is also the former president of AAAS and is
also a member of the Zeta Epsilon Chapter of Kappa
Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He attends the Bibleway
Church of Atlas Road in Columbia, South Carolina and
is a Public Relations major at USC.
Student Body Vice President
Ryan Holt
is a political science major in the South Carolina
Honors College. In his capacity as Student Body Vice
President, Ryan is charged with the task of
presiding over the university’s Student Senate. Ryan
is himself a former member of the USC Freshman
Council and the Student Senate, where he chaired the
judiciary committee. In his term as a member of the
Senate, Ryan sponsored over a dozen pieces of
legislation. He has also been a columnist or writer
for The Gamecock Student Newspaper and
Garnet & Black Magazine. He has served as the
treasurer for the USC delegation of the South
Carolina Student Legislature as well as the
statewide body’s President Pro Tempore and
Lieutenant Governor.
Tommy
Preston, Jr.
Student Body Treasurer
Tommy Preston,
Jr. hails from Central, South Carolina and is a
third year political science student. Serving as
Student Body Treasurer, Tommy is an advocate for
eliminating wasteful spending in Student Government
and finding ways to reduce the current financial
burden on students. Before being elected Treasurer,
Tommy represented the College of Arts & Sciences in
the Student Senate where he chaired the Minority
Affairs Committee. As chairman, Tommy created the
Carolina Minority Outreach Program, an innovative
initiative to bring minorities to USC. This effort
has resulted in the hiring of a minority outreach
director to work in the admissions office. One of
Tommy’s passions is lobbying government officials in
Washington, D.C. and the Statehouse on behalf of
students. When not involved on campus, Tommy works
in the office of State Senator Larry Martin and
serves on various civic and service boards.
